2) In class, I asked you to compose a journal response, in which you spoke openly with a loved one you find it hard to speak to. You imagined this person as a Prime, let your inhibitions down, and speak to this person the way you have always wanted to. Using that piece of writing as a springboard, compose a polished piece to be read to your loved one as a Prime. Sign it and place it in an envelope. Bring it to class so I can see your work and give you credit for the assignment. My hope? Someday, you will build the courage to speak to this person and share your feelings like these characters did with their Prime. If the loved one you chose is deceased, perhaps you read it aloud, as if they may hear you and give yourself closure. I will be doing this assignment with you. I look forward to this journey together. (NOTE: You will in no way be asked to share this work with me or anyone in class, unless you choose to. This is for you).
